Michael Morgan Smith practiced in the insurance defense litigation section of the Macon law firm Martin Snow for over 20 years before co-founding Clark, Smith & Sizemore LLC. During his time at Martin Snow, he managed a heavy caseload and tried nearly one hundred cases in Federal, Superior, State, and Civil Courts across Georgia, covering a wide range of cases from wrongful death and catastrophic injury to contractual matters. His extensive experience in insurance defense provides him with a deep understanding of how insurance companies evaluate and handle personal injury lawsuits, which he now leverages to help injured persons resolve their claims quickly and successfully. Mike teaches Advanced Legal Writing at Mercer Law. He is a graduate of Brentwood School, received an A.A. from Oxford College, and a B.A. in History with a minor in Political Science from Emory University and the University of Georgia in 1986. He graduated from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in 1989, where he was a member of the Mercer Law Review and received the AJUR Award for Environmental Law. Outside of work, Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, and reading, and is actively involved in environmental and conservation organizations.
