About Philip
Mr. Marstiller has been with our firm since 2003. His areas of practice include automobile accidents, medical malpractice, personal injury, premises liability and products liability. Mr. Marstiller is passionate about building community. He is active in his local church, Third Church, having served previously as an interim junior high youth minister, serving several years as a 4th grade Sunday School teacher, leading a boy’s Bible study, and most recently serving as governing elder, among other leadership roles within his church. Mr. Marstiller has a heart as an advocate and friend of those with mental and physical infirmities, having served on a statewide mental health Advisory Council for the Virginia Office of Protection and Advocacy as well as mentoring a young man with special needs for many years. This shepherding role and heart for the underprivileged is also displayed in Mr. Marstiller’s involvement with Church Hill Activities and Tutoring (CHAT) and Servant Partners. CHAT (now known as Rise Richmond) and Servant Partners are both Christian non-profits which invest in life-transforming relationships with at-risk urban youth in the East End of Richmond and equip them with the character and resources necessary to flourish and become positive influences within their community. Mr. Marstiller previously served on CHAT’s Board and volunteered as a mentor and basketball coach for many years within the greater Church Hill community. Currently, his work with Servant Partners includes a focus on fellowship with both high school-aged youth and young adult men to help prepare them for life’s challenges and become thriving, well-grounded and courageous men of faith leading fruitful lives of wisdom and purpose. Mr. Marstiller has also volunteered his time serving youth with Blue Sky Fund, as an assistant baseball coach and as a member of an advisory council for Chimborazo Elementary School. This passion for community is also seen in Mr. Marstiller’s prior service on the Board of Directors for another non-profit, Read to Them, whose mission is to cultivate family literacy and foster relational unity through the shared experience of reading stories together as a family, school and community.
