About Rachel

Rachel completed her undergraduate studies with a double major in International Studies and Law, Societies, & Justice at the University of Washington before graduating cum laude from Seattle University’s School of Law. During law school, Rachel was deeply involved in advocacy, serving on the Moot Court Board, co-leading Gideon’s Army as co-president, and participating in the Social Justice Leadership Committee. She also gained valuable experience as a research assistant for Professor Laurel Oates, a pioneer in legal writing, and contributed pro bono legal services as a volunteer at the King County Neighborhood Legal Clinic. Rachel began her legal career in civil rights law, advocating for individuals facing discrimination. Her passion for courtroom advocacy and client representation then led her to criminal law, where she worked as an associate defending clients accused of misdemeanors and felonies. Rachel now brings her extensive legal experience to family law, where she focuses on guiding clients through complex and often emotional legal challenges. Her background in both civil rights and criminal defense informs her approach to family law, where she is committed to protecting her clients’ rights and achieving favorable resolutions.
