Scott A. Hindman was born in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Sioux City Heelan High School in 1979, Briar Cliff College summa cum laude in 1983, and the University of Iowa Law School, J.D. degree in 1986. He is admitted to the practice of law in the state and federal courts of Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska as well as the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Scott has engaged in the private practice of law in Sioux City for over 35 years, practicing primarily in civil litigation representing individuals, companies and private schools. He has tried over 75 cases before juries in the courts of Iowa and South Dakota as well as appeals in the State Appellate Courts of Iowa, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and other state tribunals. The cases he has tried involve numerous types of issues including personal injury, commercial litigation, products liability, premises liability, construction accidents, trademark infringement and insurance defense. Scott is a member of the Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska and Woodbury County Bar Associations as well as the Iowa Defense Counsel Association and Defense Research Institute. He is also a member of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers.
