About Stephanie

Stephanie Thomson's practice focuses on estate planning, probate, business representation, and residential and commercial real estate transactions. Prior to joining Upton & Hatfield, Stephanie was the managing attorney for a real estate firm in southern New Hampshire. She also practiced law in Vermont for several years working on estate planning, family law, landlord/tenant, and real estate matters. Stephanie is originally from Winthrop, Maine, where she graduated from the University of Maine with a B.A. in English. After completing her undergraduate degree, Stephanie moved to Vermont where she attended Vermont Law School, graduating magna cum laude, and served as Senior Notes Editor for the Vermont Law Review. Prior to moving to New Hampshire, Stephanie worked for a pro bono legal services project with the St. Johnsbury Community Justice Center in St. Johnsbury, VT. She also served on several community boards and organizations including Lamoille County Mental Health Services, acting as board member and treasurer. Stephanie currently resides in Peterborough, NH with her husband and dog. When she is not working, Stephanie enjoys running, hiking and backpacking, kayaking, golfing, skiing, snowshoeing, and traveling. Stephanie is currently licensed to practice law in New Hampshire and Vermont.
