About Steven

Steve Scruton is a Partner in the St. John’s office with over fourteen years of experience in the personal injury and insurance fields. Like everyone, Steve is a product of his experiences, including his time at law school where he earned a wide range of awards and scholarships, to starting his career with one of the largest law firms in Atlantic Canada, and then opening and running a legal office for one of the leading insurance companies in the market. He has also been actively involved over the years in professional organizations like the Canadian Bar Association and has had the privilege of speaking at numerous conferences. In his career, Steve has always enjoyed using his legal skills and knowledge for the benefit of his clients and finding practical solutions for whatever problem they are facing. Most importantly, Steve cares deeply for people and believes that everyone deserves to be treated fairly. At MacGillivray Law, his mission is to reduce the suffering his clients are experiencing and to advocate on their behalf to make sure their voice is heard. When he isn’t working for his clients, Steve spends most of his time with his family, including his wife Amanda and their two children, Norah and Nathan, along with their family goldendoodle, Charlotte. He is looking forward to getting back into international travel and seeing more of the world as it recovers from recent events.
