About Sydney

Sydney A. Shaffer is an associate in the Los Angeles office. In 2017, Ms. Shaffer graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. While there, she also earned a professional certificate from the Technology Management Program and an Academic Excellence Award for successful completion of the College of Letters and Science Honors Program. Following her undergraduate studies, Ms. Shaffer received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 2022. While in law school, Ms. Shaffer clerked for the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and summered at a large international law firm in San Francisco. Prior to joining Yukevich | Cavanaugh, Ms. Shaffer was an attorney in the corporate transactional department of a large international law firm in San Francisco, where she advised public and private technology and life sciences companies on complex equity and debt financings and securities law matters. Ms. Shaffer joined Yukevich | Cavanaugh as an attorney in 2024. Her practice areas include general negligence defense, complex litigation, and toxic torts litigation. Ms. Shaffer is licensed to practice law in California.
