Miami is proud to call Tara one of its own, a native whose journey from academia to a successful legal career is nothing short of remarkable. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications, Tara demonstrated a rare blend of intellectual prowess and passion for language. It was this very passion that drove Tara to pursue her Juris Doctorate at Florida State University College of Law. As a Certified Legal Intern at the State Attorney's Office in Tallahassee during law school, she delved into the intricacies of the legal system, working alongside prosecutors in the Juvenile division. Through motion practice and bench trials, Tara honed her courtroom skills and developed a keen sense of justice that would define her future endeavors. Upon receiving her Juris Doctorate in 2017, Tara returned to her hometown of Miami, eager to contribute to the community that had shaped her. Sworn in as an Assistant State Attorney at the esteemed Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, she took on the responsibility of prosecuting a wide range of criminal cases. From DUI to theft, burglary to aggravated battery, Tara fearlessly pursued justice, completing numerous jury trials and earning the respect of her peers and adversaries alike. Yet, Tara's journey was not limited to the courtroom. Seeking new challenges, she transitioned into the private sector, joining a prominent Worker's Compensation defense firm in Miami. For nearly 3 years, Tara represented insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators, navigating the complexities of Worker's Compensation law with finesse. Today, Tara's path has come full circle, as she practices Personal Injury and Worker's Compensation law at the esteemed law firm of Wolfson & Leon. Her unique background as a former prosecutor and insurance defense attorney sets her apart as a formidable advocate for her clients. Combining her trial experience with her litigation skills, Tara approaches each case with unwavering dedication, ensuring her clients' rights are protected and their voices heard.
