Thomas E. Carroll received his B.S. degree in 1969 and his M.A. degree in 1971 from Western Kentucky University. He taught advanced Math, Physics and Chemistry before enrolling at University of Louisville College of Law in 1972, receiving his J.D. in 1974. He began practicing law in 1975 and has served as Assistant Commonwealth Attorney and Wayne County Attorney. Mr. Carroll has over 20 years of experience as a trial attorney, concentrating in plaintiff's personal injury, bad faith, medical negligence, products liability, wrongful death claims, and criminal defense. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky, U.S. District Courts for Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, U.S. Claims Court, and Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of various professional associations including the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys Board of Governors, Southern Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a recipient of the 'Peter Pearlman Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award' and ranked as a Top 100 Attorney by The National Trial Lawyers Association.
