About Thomas

Thomas J. Hurt is an attorney at Danford Law Firm. Thomas works primarily in criminal defense with an emphasis on drug offenses and revocation of community supervision or parole. A magna cum laude graduate of the Saint Mary’s School of Law with an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Thomas served as a student attorney in the Center for Legal and Social Justice Criminal Clinic and later served as a teaching assistant for the clinic. Prior to joining the firm and receiving his law degree, Thomas worked as a community supervision officer for the 198th/216th Judicial District. After that, he worked as a student attorney at the United States Attorney Office for the Western District of Texas and for the 216th Judicial District of Texas Attorney Office where he gained extensive experience working on criminal cases as well as gaining experience litigating in state court. Thomas is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and is a member of the Texas Bar College. He is an active member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer Association (TCDLA) and the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyer Association (SACDLA). He is also on the City of Kerrville Recovery Community Coalition Board.
