About Tom

Tom Byrnes is a trial lawyer with over 20 years of experience in complex trials and investigations. He focuses on representing victims and their families in civil litigation and injury law, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. As a trial prosecutor, he handled various criminal cases, including homicides, sexual assaults, drug trafficking, and financial crimes. He served as Assistant District Attorney for Colorado’s 18th Judicial District. Tom is a U.S. Navy and Iraq War veteran, serving in the JAG Corps and continuing as a Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserves, where he is a certified military judge. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from Franciscan University (Steubenville, Ohio) and his law degree from Ave Maria School of Law (Ann Arbor, Michigan).
