About William
Bill was born in Richmond, Virginia in 1960 and moved to Lynchburg at age 13, graduating from E.C. Glass High School in 1978. He married Margaret, also a practicing attorney, in 1990. His hobbies include traveling and attending professional baseball games. Bill is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Bar Association, Lynchburg Bar Association, Campbell County Bar Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the Fellows of the Virginia Law Foundation. He is a past-President of the Lynchburg Bar Association and has served on the Board of Directors for the Client Protection Fund for the Virginia State Bar, and as faculty and lecturer for the Virginia State Bar’s Professionalism Course. For almost forty years, Bill has developed an extensive practice in civil litigation with emphasis on personal injury and commercial litigation, trying more than 200 jury trials to completion in state and federal courts. He serves on the Board of Governors for the Virginia Bar Association (since 2022) and for the Senior Lawyer Conference for the Virginia State Bar (since 2023). Bill spends the majority of his practice working on personal injury cases, but also has experience with various other areas of law.
