William V. “Bill” Cummings is a lifelong resident of Spartanburg County, and is a product of the Spartanburg County School System. He attended Clemson University, graduating in 1969 with a degree in Industrial Management. He then matriculated to the University of South Carolina School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1972. Bill has over forty (40) years of extensive experience in the fields of Social Security Disability, Workers’ Compensation, and Personal Injury. Further, Bill has many years of experience in appellate matters before the South Carolina Supreme Court, the South Carolina Court of Appeals, and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Bill is admitted to practice in all South Carolina State and Federal Courts, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Outside of the office, Bill is very involved in the community serving on various boards and committees. He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg; a past member of the YMCA Board of Directors; a volunteer and current Board Member of Mobile Meals of Spartanburg; and a Member of the Spartanburg Regional Health Systems Hospice Board.
