Case Details
A tractor-trailer driver, transportation company (GLC Transportation), and cheese manufacturer were sued after a July 2010 motor vehicle accident on Interstate 80. One person died, and two others suffered catastrophic injuries (broken ribs, spinal fractures, lacerated liver, permanent brain damage, emotional damage). The tractor-trailer struck the victims' vehicle from behind. The truck driver was allegedly inattentive or asleep at the wheel.

Pretrial settlement with GLC Transportation. Believed to be one of the biggest personal injury settlements in Pennsylvania history. The lawsuit also claimed a loss of consortium.
