Peggy Zick was a passenger in a vehicle which was traveling on I-75 in Jacksboro, Tennessee. A driver of a tractor-trailer rear-ended the vehicle Peggy was riding in. That collision caused a chain reaction collision with three other vehicles. Peggy was air-lifted to Mercy Hospital in Port Huron where she would spend nine nights. She suffered multiple traumatic injuries including: C5 - C6, L-facet distraction, C5 - C6, retrolisthesis, C5 - C6 disc herniation with cervical cord flattening, vocal cord contusions, disruption of the anterior and posterior longitudinal ligaments, right L3 transverse process fracture, 2.5 cm right forehead laceration, prevertebral soft tissue edema hemorrhage extends from the occiput to C6,C4 - C 5 a new small central disc extrusion that minimally indents the anterior aspect cord, C5-C6 cord edema; C6 - C7 cord edema, and a right median mononeuropathy (carpel tunnel syndrome) of mild to moderate severity with left C 5 radiculopathy. Peggy’s medical bills totalled $217,752.05.
