Case Details
A Union Pacific railroad conductor, Mark Mlsna, was mistreated by the railroad for his hearing impairment. A Madison Wisconsin jury levied a $44 million dollar award, finding the railroad's actions to be bad, singling out the conductor, thwarting his attempts to continue as a conductor, and flagrantly misrepresenting hearing requirements.
Additional Notes
Attorneys Thomas Fuller, Adam Hansen, and Nick Thompson represented Mr. Mlsna. Union Pacific is expected to argue the ADA statutory cap of three hundred thousand dollars applies in this case.
