Case Details

Our client was riding as a passenger in an SUV during a severe Michigan winter storm when the Uber driver failed to drive appropriately for the icy conditions-traveling too fast and following too closely. The Uber vehicle collided with vehicles in a multi-car pile-up, leaving our client seriously injured. Injuries Sustained: Herniated cervical disc at C6-7, requiring neck fusion surgery; Mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) with cognitive and emotional symptoms; Lumbar disc herniation at L4-5 with bilateral radiculopathy (nerve pain in both legs). We aggressively pursued claims against the rideshare company and its driver, demonstrating that negligent driving during hazardous weather conditions caused the crash.

Additional Notes

Settlement for pain and suffering, disability, and future medical needs. Client's no-fault insurance carrier also paid: $250,000 maximum PIP coverage in allowable medical expenses, $108,000 in wage loss (3 years), $21,900 in replacement household services (3 years). Total Recovery: $2,479,900.
