A 50-year-old lead ticket agent was injured when a defective chair collapsed at Amtrak’s Newark Penn station, causing her to fall and injure her neck, back, and left shoulder. She underwent lumbar laminectomy/spinal fusion and arthroscopic shoulder surgery and was unable to return to work.
