Notable Case Results
Case results reflect publicly available information reported by the listed law firms. They are not results obtained by ThatCarHitMe.com. Every case is unique and must be evaluated on its own facts. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. The results shown are not necessarily representative of all results obtained by these firms. No representation is made that the quality of legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers.
Criminal Law
Attorney Timothy “Tim” Fitzpatrick successfully petitioned the court to erase his client's 2009 conviction for possession of marijuana, citing changing state laws and a recent Supreme Court case. The court granted the petition, leading to the destruction of the conviction record, police report, and all associated court/state records.
Motor Vehicle Accident
In February 2016, Attorney Timothy “Tim” Fitzpatrick obtained a plaintiff's verdict for his client, JN, in Waterbury Civil Court. The client was a passenger in a rear-end collision in 2012. The jury awarded JN economic damages for medical bills and non-economic damages for pain, suffering, and loss of life's enjoyment and activities, despite the defense arguing no injury or unrelated injury.
Disability Benefits
Connecticut’s Medical Examining Board overturned its previous denial and granted a Connecticut police officer, represented by Attorney Tim Fitzpatrick, her service-connected disability retirement (pension). The officer suffered a torn meniscal injury to her right knee in February 2013 during duty and was unable to return to full duty after two surgeries.
Traffic Violation
Lonnie Dunbar's conviction for operating a cell phone while driving was overturned on appeal. Dunbar was ticketed for tapping the 'answer' button on his phone while wearing a headset. The appellate court agreed there was insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he violated Connecticut General Statutes § 14-296aa(b)(1) by 'using' or 'engaging' in a call as defined by the statute.
