All charges dismissed against former Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office deputy Tai Chan in the shooting death of his partner Jeremy Martin, ending the state’s longest-running murder prosecution. The judge ruled that Chan’s right to a speedy trial had been violated and found prosecutorial misconduct.

Lawsuit filed on behalf of Dolores Tapia and her two teenaged sons alleging an Española police officer assaulted a teen after a Nerf ball was thrown at his patrol car, including choking one boy and attempting to punch another.

A judge ruled that Santa Fe County Sheriff's deputy Tai Chan, accused of killing his colleague Jeremy Martin, could return to Santa Fe County under house arrest with an ankle monitor while out on bond.
