Notable Case Results
Case results reflect publicly available information reported by the listed law firms. They are not results obtained by ThatCarHitMe.com. Every case is unique and must be evaluated on its own facts. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. The results shown are not necessarily representative of all results obtained by these firms. No representation is made that the quality of legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers.
DUI / DWI
The client was charged with DUI in connection with a serious accident. A state blood test was taken by warrant which showed a B.A.C. almost three time the legal limit. The client served absolutely no jail time and we were able to keep him driving. Most importantly, he was not charged with the more serious felony charges in association with injuries incurred by the other driver involved in the accident.
DUI / DWI
The client was pulled over by police after he ran a red light. He was not asked to perform field sobriety tests, but instead the officers told him the tests were mandatory and that he would be arrested if he refused to cooperate. The officers also failed to read the implied consent notice as the law requires and the client was told he was required to submit to a breath test at the station. The charge was reduced to Reckless Driving after it was determined that the field sobriety tests and breath test results would not be admissible at trial because the officers used coercive tactics and forced the client to submit to the testing.
DUI / DWI
The client is a retired military officer who works as a defense contractor. He hold a top-secret security clearance. A DUI conviction would have caused him to lose his top-secret clearance and therefore his job. The case was in Whitfield County Georgia. The arresting officer was extremely opposed to a reduction to reckless driving. Nevertheless, the case was invested and defenses were found. The client's case was reduced to reckless driving. The client paid a fine only and received no probation. After payment of a small fine, the client was released. This saved his job at the United State Department of Defense.
DUI / DWI
The client was stopped by police at a roadblock. The client was not seen driving in an unsafe manner, but failed several field sobriety evaluations, admitted drinking at a bar nearby, and the officer claimed he smelled strongly of alcohol. The client later submitted to a breath test that showed a BAC of .079. The DUI charge was amended to Reckless Driving after successful negotiations with the prosecution and the client was able to keep his license.
DUI / DWI
The client recently graduated as a Second Lieutenant in the military. He was charged with a DUI which a conviction for would have greatly effected his career in the military. The client's case was reduced to reckless driving. Because of our advice, the client was instructed to complete any requirements of his sentence prior to going to court. As a result, he ended up not having to report to probation. Had he been required to report, he would have been prohibited from entering into ranger school. The client was very happy with the outcome.
DUI / DWI
Client was working in the United States on a business trip when he received his DUI. He was involved in a single car accident when he vehicle slid off the road in a heavy rain storm. We were able to enter a plea in absence of the client which allowed him to travel back to his home county. He received zero days on probation and was not required to complete any community service, both which are usually standard and required for a DUI charge. His sentence solely consisted of paying fines.
