Arden J. Curry II

Arden J. Curry II, also known as John Curry, has practiced with Pauley Curry, PLLC and its predecessor firm for 39 years. He is a preeminent trial lawyer in West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky, focusing on medical malpractice litigation and mediation. W. MITCHELL HALL, JR.

Mitchell Hall devotes his practice to defending businesses, employers, and insurance carriers throughout eastern Kentucky. An AV rated attorney by his clients and peers, Mitch has tried over 25 cases to jury verdict and has successfully defended hundreds of administrative hearings. He has argued appeals before the Sixth Circuit and Kentucky’s appellate courts. His clients include the region’s largest hospital, Fortune 500 industrial facilities, financial institutions, a large regional wholesale distribution company, local school boards, and healthcare professionals. Mitch has tried medical liability, employment, transportation, commercial, and premises liability cases to verdict throughout Eastern Kentucky. His labor and employment practice includes representing companies in union negotiations, labor arbitrations, and contested proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights. Mitch’s roots run deep in eastern Kentucky, as he was raised in Morehead, with family history in Johnson and Magoffin Counties. Mitch obtained his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law as a member of the Order of the Coif in 1991. Mitch is a past President of the Kentucky Defense Counsel, where he co-founded and served as Editor of Common Defense, a nationally recognized defense publication for which the organization was awarded DRI’s Outstanding Achievement Award. He currently is representing his Supreme Court District as a member of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Board of Governors and previously served as Chair of the KBA’s CLE Commission. He is a former President of the Kentucky Council of School Board Attorneys and a member of the Kentucky Supreme Court Civil Justice Reform Commission. He is also a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, where he currently chairs the Healthcare Section. An avid golfer, Mitch coached the Ashland Blazer High School Golf Team from 2013-2017 and also coached the high school’s Mock Trial Team from 2002- 2019. He is on the Board of Directors for the Highlands Museum and Discovery in Ashland. He is a board member of the Ashland Alliance and serves as an elder of his church.

R. Stephen McGinnis

Stephen McGinnis graduated from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky in 1991 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Government and History. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1994. After receiving his education, Stephen moved back to Greenup and began practicing. He is admitted to practice in all courts of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the Eastern Federal District of Kentucky, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, all courts in the state of West Virginia and the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is the President of the Greenup/Lewis County Bar Association and a member of the Boyd County Bar Association. Stephen donates significant time to his community. He is former Chairman of the Board of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Foundation. Stephen is now a Board member of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. Stephen is honored to serve the Kentucky Bar Association as a member of the Bar Association Ethics Committee and as his regions Ethics “Hotline” representative. Stephen donates his legal services each year to Veterans and other needful individuals through a Pro Bono Program. He is a former Board member of Legal Aid of the Bluegrass. Stephen practices many areas of law, including debtor and creditor law, personal injury, domestic relations, appellate work, contracts, municipal law, estates, elder law, juvenile, criminal, repossessions and foreclosures, estate planning, wills and trusts, both in the state of Kentucky and the state of West Virginia. Stephen has represented individuals in domestic cases with marital estates in the millions of dollars and represents individuals involved in personal injury actions, death, serious personal injuries, amputations, and injuries of all other sorts and matters. He is also proud to represent Veterans who simply need help with their wills or other much more serious matters for free. He also handles all aspects of domestic cases from the largest to the smallest and all in between, including custody actions making sure to help his clients help their children in every possible way. Stephen was also recently proud to be asked to give a formal presentation on legal ethics for the continued and legal education of more than 150 fellow lawyers in Ashland, Kentucky.

She is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and has been recognized as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer. She is licensed in West Virginia and Kentucky.

Andrew K. Wheeler

Andrew K. Wheeler is a partner at Martin Wheeler & Vincent, PSC, joining in 2011 and becoming partner in 2018. He focuses on personal injury, insurance defense, estates, Social Security Disability, and general civil matters. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky federal and state courts and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He serves as City Attorney for Ashland and assists in Catlettsburg.

Sharon E. Rowsey

Sharon Rowsey is a partner with Wilson, Stavros & Rowsey, PSC since 1993, licensed in state and federal courts in Kentucky and West Virginia. She holds degrees from Marshall University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Law. She is a member of state and local Bar Associations, has a trial skills certification, and has completed extensive continuing legal education.
