He also spent a six year term on the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole. He is an adjunct professor at Thiel College. Mangino’s book The Executioner’s Toll, 2010 was published by McFarland & Company. His weekly column on crime and conduct is syndicated nationwide by Creators Syndicate. Mangino’s articles have been published in the Washington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Columbus Dispatch and Harrisburg Patriot News.
