Koy R. Killen

Koy Killen has been practicing law since 2001. He concentrates his practice in complex civil and commercial litigation, real estate litigation, business torts, probate litigation, civil appeals, contract representation and negotiation, premises liability, debt collection, serious personal injury, and wrongful death cases. He has successfully served as lead counsel in numerous jury and bench trials and is active in the legal community.

Founding attorney Greg Coontz is Board Certified in both Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He grew up in Burleson, Texas, and has handled numerous million and multi-million dollar personal injury cases. He began his law career after receiving an accounting degree from Texas Wesleyan University and a law degree from Baylor University. He opened his law practice in Burleson in 1990.

Jennifer Lovelace

Jennifer helps our clients with their estate planning, probate, and guardianship needs. Jennifer helps clients achieve their wishes for their property and family after death. Jennifer regularly drafts and consults on wills, revocable living trusts, special needs trusts, medical powers of attorney, advanced directives, HIPAA releases, statutory durable powers of attorney, testamentary trusts, Lady Bird deeds, and transfer on death deeds. She advises about the need for planning and discusses various options. She is happy to advise about various estate planning options and prides herself on working with the client to craft a custom-tailored estate plan for his or her needs. If you have a loved one who has passed away, with or without planning, she can also help. Jennifer regularly handles all types of probate matters: contested, uncontested, simple, and complex. Jennifer balances compassion and knowledge, always striving for the most economical and efficient path forward. She discusses the decedent’s unique assets, debts, and family and will make recommendations to transfer ownership of his or her assets. She takes special care to advise her clients as to options for how to reduce or avoid creditor claims against the estate, with the goal of reserving the estate assets for the heirs or beneficiaries. She regularly handles independent administrations, dependent administrations, estates with and without wills, and probate avoidance options like muniments of title. She also regularly represents fiduciaries such as executors, administrators, trustees, and agents, who she will guide through may be their first and only time in such a role. She will also represent the heirs, beneficiaries, and principals, ensuring that their rights are recognized throughout the process. There are numerous probate issues that Jennifer regularly takes to court. Litigation can appear in numerous ways, whether it is a will contest, inherited property dispute, or lawsuit by or against a personal representative. Jennifer is ready for all of them. She will advise and teach, suggest out of court resolutions, and zealously advocate. Jennifer also handles contested and uncontested guardianships. She is regularly appointed by the Johnson County Courts at Law to serve as an attorney or guardian ad litem in heirship and guardianship matters.

W. Cade Lovelace

W. Cade Lovelace has a long history of serving in the legal community in both Burleson and Fort Worth. He founded this law firm over 15 years ago based on the principle that every person should receive quality, complete, and aggressive legal representation. Cade represents and advises clients in almost every aspect of law that this firm handles, from corporations litigation to small businesses as to their corporate structures to families in divorces or child custody modifications. Cade has represented clients in the Texas District Courts, the Texas Appellate Courts, the Texas Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Courts of Texas. Cade’s legal career encompasses close to 20 years. His first experience was working in a small practice in southeast Texas. He then worked for a large bankruptcy firm in Fort Worth. Cade interned with the U.S. Attorney in Lubbock and worked for a multinational firm in Dallas. After graduating magna cum laude and becoming a member of the Order of the Coif at Texas Tech School of Law, Cade started his law practice with a large Fort Worth firm. Following extensive litigation training there, Cade created this firm to serve his community. Cade has been honored by Fort Worth Magazine as a “Best Attorney” from 2008 to 2017. He serves on multiple boards and committees in the Fort Worth area. Cade’s experience in varied areas of law helps him advise his clients on multiple legal solutions.

Christopher C. Cooke

Christopher C. Cooke is a Board Certified Attorney in Personal Injury Trial Law. He co-founded Cooke Law Firm, P.C. in 1998 and has over two decades of experience, bringing the earliest 'fracking' lawsuits and winning over $150 million in verdicts and settlements for personal injury clients. He is also experienced in family law, motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, criminal law, oil & gas leases and litigation, energy, and DUI/DWI.

Clinton W. Dennis

Clint Dennis has over 14 years of experience representing businesses and individuals in business and corporate transactions, estate planning, probate, and real estate matters. He focuses on representing sellers in middle market sales and also serves as outside general counsel for small and mid-sized companies. He graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law.

Jeff Cochran joined Coontz Cochran in 1999, specializing in Family Law litigation. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University and his law degree from Texas Tech University. He is fluent in Spanish and is a member of several bar associations.
