Edward Blackmon, Jr.

Edward Blackmon, Jr. is the Senior Partner at Blackmon & Blackmon, PLLC, which he co-founded in 1989. He earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law Center and a B.A. from Tougaloo College. James H. Herring

James H. Herring is a senior partner at Herring, Long & Crews, P.C. He served in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps and as a Reservist, achieving the rank of Colonel. He was District Attorney for the 20th Circuit District of Mississippi and later served on the Mississippi Court of Appeals and as a Special Judge on the Mississippi Supreme Court. She holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law, a J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law, an M.B.A. from the University of Alabama, and a B.S. from Jackson State University. Admitted to the bar in Mississippi (1981) and New York (1982), she made history as the first Black woman to represent Madison, Yazoo, and Holmes counties in the Mississippi State Senate in 1992, serving multiple terms. She has held numerous leadership roles in professional and community organizations.
