Ari Laric

Ari Laric is a managing partner at Berman | Sobin | Gross LLP, representing injured workers across Maryland. He focuses on union workers, including firefighters, police officers, and teachers, and educates them on their rights. Ari has served on the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Guide Revision Committee and presented on workers’ compensation law. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers®, National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff’s Lawyers, Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG) as one of the Nation’s Top Injured Workers’ Attorneys, and American Institute of Trial Lawyers as 2022 Litigator of The Year. Michael Feldman

Michael H. Feldman, now retired, directed complex litigation at Berman | Sobin | Gross LLP for over 35 years, focusing on medical malpractice, products liability, and serious injury cases. He was a leader in transfusion-associated AIDS litigation and achieved significant verdicts, including the largest in Allegany County and a $44.1 million medical negligence verdict in Montgomery County. He was elected President of the Washington D.C. Trial Lawyers Association in 1998 and named Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2016. He holds the highest legal ability and ethical standards rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is recognized as a Super Lawyer and Top Attorney by Baltimore Magazine.

Gretchen Rogers

Gretchen Rogers is a partner at Berman | Sobin | Gross LLP, specializing in workers' compensation. She has advocated for injured workers in Maryland and South Carolina since 2005, representing communication workers, police officers, firefighters, correction officers, and municipal workers. Gretchen is a member of the Maryland Negligence, Insurance and Workers’ Compensation Council of the Maryland Bar Association, where she has organized and moderated programs. She regularly presents to unions and volunteers at workers’ rights clinics, and was a panelist at the American Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Midwinter Seminar and Conference. In 2024, she was appointed as Faculty at the Judicial College of Maryland to co-teach a statewide course on workers’ compensation law for judges.

Jaclyne Kartley

Jaclyne Kartley is an associate attorney at Berman | Sobin | Gross LLP, focusing solely on personal injury cases such as car accidents, dog bites, slip and falls, and injuries caused by negligence. She was recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” attorneys (2022-2024) and a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers (2024). Jaclyne began her career at the firm as a personal injury paralegal in 2012, then attended law school, focusing on personal injury, insurance, and negotiations. She returned to the firm after graduating in 2017. She is licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.

Matthew Engler

Matthew Engler is a partner at Berman | Sobin | Gross LLP, specializing in workers’ compensation and personal injury cases. A former state prosecutor and volunteer firefighter, he brings a strong commitment to his clients, particularly public safety officers. He has represented over a thousand clients and successfully argued several cases in Maryland appellate courts. In 2021, he received The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 recognition. He serves on the Board of Directors for Kid’s Chance of Maryland, providing educational scholarships to children of injured and deceased workers.

Craig Meyers

Craig Meyers is a partner at Berman | Sobin | Gross LLP, specializing in personal injury cases including motor vehicle collisions, slip and falls, and injuries due to negligence. With prior experience defending insurance companies, he possesses deep knowledge of their defense strategies and valuation methods. Craig handles complex litigation, including truck accidents, product liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith. He is licensed in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the Federal District Court for the District of Maryland, and is voluntarily inactive in Massachusetts. He also serves as a consultant to other attorneys on legal, insurance, and ethical issues.
