Mr. Davis is a co-founder of Davis & Brusca and the firm’s managing partner. He has devoted his practice to helping seriously injured people and their families for over 20 years, and has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients. Since 2009, Michael has devoted his practice to representing vulnerable people and their families in abuse, neglect, and death cases in nursing homes, rehabs, assisted living facilities, group homes, and hospitals. Prior to entering private practice, Michael served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force, where he tried many cases all over the world, including Japan, Qatar and Kuwait. In New Jersey, he was lead counsel for the plaintiff in the case of Dwyer v. Harborview, which generated the largest nursing home verdict to date: $13.2 Million. While the verdict was later the subject of post-trial motions and an appeal, and ultimately settled for a different amount, the results demonstrate Michael’s considerable skill in the courtroom. Managing Partner John Weir graduated with honors from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey School of Law in Camden, NJ. He began his legal career at McLaughlin & Cooper, P.C. in Trenton, N.J. where he was mentored by the late James J. McLaughlin. He began trying cases within months of being admitted to the New Jersey Bar. Since then, Mr. Weir has developed an impressive track record and has tried numerous jury trials in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Mercer County, Middlesex County, Camden County, Somerset County, Monmouth County and Hunterdon County as well as Federal Court. Mr. Weir has handled a wide variety of civil matters. He has represented Fortune 500 companies in asbestos litigation, Fortune 100 oil companies in benzene litigation, large companies in toxic tort litigation and prominent New Jersey insurance companies in a variety of insurance and negligence issues. He has also helped plaintiffs in a wide array of matters including wrongful death claims, denial of insurance benefits, automobile accidents, slip and falls and other personal injury claims. His experience in a wide variety of claims on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants provides you with a balanced approach to your claim. After many years of trying cases, Mr. Weir began utilizing his experience to help others via volunteer work as a mediator in Mercer County Special Civil Part. He serves as an arbitrator in the Mercer County Law Division and has served as a mediator and arbitrator in numerous private matters on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. His broad litigation background has made him a popular choice as a neutral arbitrator chosen by both plaintiffs and defendants attorneys.

Phil Anderson is a highly skilled and dedicated healthcare attorney who is deeply committed to helping people who have been injured by the negligence of others. Before joining Davis & Brusca, Phil spent most of his career as a defense lawyer litigating claims against nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home health care providers. This experience has given him a unique perspective on nursing home litigation and the key issues necessary to achieving success for his clients. Phil takes his role as a victim advocate very seriously and strives to keep his clients well informed and to deliver results which meet with each client’s specific goals and objectives. Frank Orbach is a highly experienced trial attorney and a welcome addition to the team at Davis & Brusca, LLC. Frank has successfully tried many cases to verdict and has extensive experience in Nursing Home Neglect & Abuse claims. He has devoted the majority of his career to complex personal injury matters, with special emphasis on medical and professional malpractice, and brings unique insight gained from having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in these complex cases. Frank uses this wealth of knowledge to highlight the unique facts and losses of his clients’ specific cases. He understands that each client has a story to tell and that the relationship between a lawyer and a client can only flourish if the lawyer truly understands the client’s feelings, concerns and perspective. Frank vigorously represents each client and strives to deliver results which meet each client’s goals.

Partner Rob Luthman is Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and serves as an arbitrator in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Mercer County Vicinage. Mr. Luthman is President of the New Jersey Defense Association, member of the Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association's Civil Trial Bar Section, and Trustee of the Mercer County Bar Association where he also serves on multiple committees. Mr. Luthman is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York. He has prevailed in dozens of jury and non-jury verdicts advocating for his clients in both defending and prosecuting personal injury claims. Mr. Luthman specializes in premises liability and automobile litigation with an emphasis on motorcyclist litigation. Mr. Luthman graduated law school from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University in 2007, where he was selected to compete on the school's Moot Court team, was published in the Federal Circuit Bar Journal, and was the only member of his graduating class to obtain a litigation certification. Following law school, Mr. Luthman clerked in the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division for the Honorable Ronald B. Graves, J.A.D. (ret.). He obtained his undergraduate degree from Villanova University where he graduated with honors.

Scott L. Puro, Esq. is a seasoned trial attorney who has over 20 years of experience in litigating cases in New Jersey Superior Court and Workers' Compensation Court. Born in Westwood, New Jersey, Mr. Puro received his B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University - New Brunswick and graduated Cum Laude from Rutgers Law School - Camden where he served as an editor on the Law Review. Mr. Puro clerked for the Honorable Christine L. Miniman, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey - Law Division, Civil Part before entering private practice. After his clerkship, Mr. Puro joined the iconic firm of Backes & Hill in Lawrenceville where he developed his diversified practice for over 20 years. Mr. Puro is a multifaceted attorney who has demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for litigating civil cases and workers' compensation matters, providing resolute representation for individuals who have suffered personal injuries and workplace accidents. He has tried numerous civil cases to jury verdict and has successfully argued cases before both the Appellate Division and New Jersey Supreme Court. He successfully briefed and argued the reported decision of Soto v. Scaringelli, 189 N.J. 558 (2007).
