Ryan L. Thompson
Ryan L. Thompson is the managing partner of Thompson Law LLP and serves as the firm’s lead trial counsel. He was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas and his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School. He previously worked at international law firms Hunton & Williams and Fulbright & Jaworski, defending large corporations. Rick Waterhouse, Jr.
Rick Waterhouse was born in Texas and moved frequently as the son of an Army Officer. He graduated from Baylor University’s Business School with a double major in Economics and Finance and obtained a law degree from Baylor University School of Law. He has practiced in a wide variety of personal injury areas, including wrongful death, auto accidents, premises liability, trucking collisions, industrial accidents, motorcycle crashes, and maritime injury accidents. He is an attorney in the firm’s litigation department and has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law since 2007. He was named a Texas Rising Star in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2008.

Matthew A. Rabin
Matthew Rabin is a Partner and the Managing Attorney of RTRLAW’s Personal Injury Litigation Division in Central Florida. He was previously in-house trial counsel for Chubb Florida Insurance Company, giving him unique insight into insurance defense tactics. He achieved his undergraduate degree from Florida State University, earning a double major in Political Science and History, graduating cum laude. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, also graduating cum laude. Mr. Rabin is licensed to practice law in all Florida State courts, the South District of Florida (Federal Court), Middle District of Florida (Federal Court), and the 11TH Circuit Court of Appeals (Federal Court). He is also licensed to practice law in Texas. He is AV-Preeminent-rated by Martindale Hubbell and was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in Florida in 2010.

Erik Abrams
Erik Abrams is an experienced litigation attorney at RTRLAW, specializing in personal injury litigation, real estate litigation, and first- and third-party insurance disputes. He represents injury victims in various cases, including car accidents, slip-and-falls, food poisoning, and toxic environmental exposures. Born and raised in South Florida, Erik graduated from the University of Florida and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, where he founded the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Society. He was selected as a 2023, 2024, and 2025 Rising Star by Super Lawyers®, an elite honor bestowed on only 2.5% of attorneys in Florida each year by the Thomson Reuters committee. He is admitted to practice law in Florida since 1998 and to multiple federal courts across the state.

Nicholas R. Thompson serves as both Principal and Managing Partner of RTRLAW. He is licensed and a member of the Florida, Texas, and Michigan bar associations. He has been a chief component in the firm's growth, developing successful offices in Florida and Texas and equipping them with the latest technology. He received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his Juris Doctorate Degree from Nova Southeastern University Law School, being admitted to The Florida Bar in 2005.
