T. Wayne Williams
T. Wayne Williams is a managing partner and co-founder of Williams DeLoatche, P. C., founded in 2008. He is a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia and a 25-year plus resident of the Hampton Roads area. He received his undergraduate degree in history from the University of Virginia in 1995 and his law degree from the Regent University School of Law in 2000. Prior to forming Williams DeLoatche P.C., Wayne was employed by a small local civil litigation firm and a large statewide defense litigation firm. With his wealth of experience in civil litigation for the plaintiff and defense side, he is uniquely qualified to assist with any of your personal injury matters. In his 23-year career, Wayne has handled personal lines claims for large and small insurance companies as well as self-insured companies located throughout the country. For those companies, he represented their insureds in suits involving automotive accidents and premises liability matters resulting in personal injury. He has been involved in litigation throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia and has tried hundreds of cases in Circuit Courts and General District Courts in Hampton Roads, the Northern Neck, Richmond, the counties of the Eastern Shore as well as in the United States Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Wayne’s practice now exclusively focuses on the plaintiff’s personal injury representing individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents and premises liability incidents as well as nursing home abuse cases throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is active in the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association serving as a Past President of the organization, as well as currently serving on the Foundation Board. Wayne was the proud recipient of the prestigious Walter E. Hoffman award in 2010 which is presented by the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association for outstanding community service. For 23 years, Wayne has also chaired a mock trial program for Norfolk Public School Middle Schools in which thousands of students have learned more about the court system and the processes of being a trial lawyer. Wayne is active in the community through many local organizations. He is a past President of the Sertoma Club of Norfolk and is currently a board member. The Sertoma Club raises money for individuals with speech and hearing problems and other worthwhile causes throughout Hampton Roads. Wayne has also done fundraising for the American Lung Association in memory of his father to support his cause of asthma research. In addition, he serves on the Towne Bank Leadership Alliance Board, Virginia Beach Vision and boards of several other local businesses. He is also a member of the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the board of directors and is a member of the Onancock Rotary Club. For his business success and community involvement, he was honored as one of the top 40 professionals under 40 in the Hampton Roads area by Inside Business in 2010. On multiple occasions, he has been honored as a Super Lawyer/Top 100 for Virginia and received the Top Lawyers award for Coastal Virginia Magazine and CoVaBIZ.. Wayne is the prior civic league president of his neighborhood, Baycliff. He resides in Virginia Beach with his wife Liz, two daughters, Grace and Sarah, and dog, Charlie. Jonathan R. Deloatche
Jonathan DeLoatche is a partner and co-founder of Williams DeLoatche, P.C., and is a lifelong resident of the Tidewater area. He received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University in 1992 and his law degree from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1995. Prior to forming Williams DeLoatche, Jonathan defended the largest taxicab company in Norfolk and its drivers in civil defense litigation and traffic matters. He has also represented insurance companies and their insureds in suits involving construction law, fraud, breach of contract, and personal injuries. His experience representing insurance companies helps set him apart from other injury lawyers. He has been involved in litigation throughout the Southeastern United States and has tried hundreds of matters in the Tidewater area, Eastern Shore, and Northern Neck. On multiple occasions, he has been honored as a Super Lawyer/Top 100 for Virginia and received the Top Lawyers award for Coastal Virginia Magazine and CoVaBIZ. Jonathan’s practice now focuses on representing individuals injured in matters involving motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, brain injuries, nursing home neglect, premises liability, and dog bites. Jonathan is active in the community through the Chesapeake Rotary Club, an organization that supports the local community through annual service projects and fundraisers for various local charities. He is an active member and recently served as the Club’s President for the 2020-2021 year. Some of the local events he has helped manage include the Chesapeake Wine Fest, the Chesapeake Spring Art Festival, Coats for Kids and the Rotary Christmas Parade. While the main charter of Rotary International is to end Polio, the local chapter also focuses on the local community. These local events help make a difference to the citizens in Chesapeake, VA. He is a father of two fabulous boys and a member of the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. In addition, he is a dog-dad to Kingston, a regular at the Williams DeLoatche offices.

Joseph T. Musso
Joe Musso has dedicated his 26-year career to advocating for nursing home and assisted living residents and their families, securing millions in compensation for victims of abuse and neglect. He is a sought-after speaker nationwide, educating lawyers, families, and advocacy groups on preventing nursing home abuse. Joe has testified before state legislatures on nursing home staffing requirements and has co-counseled with attorneys across the country on abuse cases. He is the Past Chair of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Long Term Care Litigation Section and President-Elect of the DC Trial Lawyers Association. Joe is an active member of the National Consumer Voice and the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Nursing Home Litigation Group, where he has served on key committees. Joe resides in Ashburn, Virginia, with his wife Kim, their children, Daniel and Maddie, and their Rottweiler, Charlotte. Joe enjoys weightlifting, cooking his grandmother’s Italian recipes, and cheering for the Washington Commanders-despite frequent disappointment.

Steve A. Baker
Steve, a Senior Associate, is local to the Roanoke area, where he graduated from Roanoke College in May 2001, with honors, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a minor in French, and a concentration in Marketing. He later attended George Mason University School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate degree in 2005. From 2006 to 2010, Steve worked for law firms practicing insurance defense and plaintiff-side personal injury. He founded the Baker Law Firm in 2011 and was hired full-time by Roanoke College in 2016 as a Lecturer, as the Director of the Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurial Innovation, and as the Director of the Roanoke College Innovation Challenge. Steve has handled various cases throughout his career and specializes in personal injury. Negotiation and finding compromise solutions in challenging situations are among his strengths. Included in his list of accomplishments, he has been a part of jury trials of intentional and negligence torts, tried cases involving slip and fall, alcohol-related car crashes and truck accidents, served as local counsel in a class action involving multi-district litigation, argued a constitutional issue in the West Virginia Supreme Court and successfully appealed a jury verdict in a criminal matter that was overturned in the VA Court of Appeals. His ability to be both intellectual and practical have aided in his career accomplishments. Steve is active in several community organizations. He was a member of the Mill Mountain Zoo Board from 2016 and served as the President of the Board from 2021 to 2023. He is a member of Salem Rotary and served on the Salem Rotary Board of Directors. He regularly serves as a mentor in the Gauntlet Business Program and counsels numerous business owners and entrepreneurs. Steve volunteers regularly with Sleep In Heavenly Peace, a local charity that builds and delivers beds to children who do not have them. The charity’s motto is, “No child sleeps on the floor in our town.” Steve further serves his community by participating annually in The Giving Back Society’s Charity Fashion Show. Steve lives in Roanoke with his wife, Susan, daughter, Sophie, his best friend - his black Labrador retriever, “Rac”, and cat, Josephine (“Josie”). He also has a dumpy tree frog, Olive, who Steve routinely feeds and takes care of because his daughter never remembers.

Joshua D. Barbosa
Joshua Barbosa is an Associate with Williams DeLoatche, P.C. and has lived in the Hampton Roads area since 2017. A proud New England native, Josh fell in love with the familiar coastline of the Hampton Roads area while attending law school. He received his undergraduate degree in Pre-law from Pensacola Christian College in 2016 and his law degree from Regent University School of Law in 2020. Josh has obtained the unique experience of practicing personal injury law from both the plaintiff and defense perspective. With this experience, a passion for civil litigation, and the skills to achieve the best results for his clients, Josh is well equipped to assist you with your legal needs. During law school, Josh gained experience in a wide array of practice areas through numerous internships including the City of Chesapeake, Chesapeake General District Court, and several private practices. He was also active in several organizations including the Regent University School of Law Moot Court Board where he served as Chair during his final year of law school. There, he developed excellence in written and oral advocacy while competing for the Moot Court Board and finishing as a National Champion, Regional Champion, and National Semifinalist in competitions around the country. Josh also participated as a student member of the James Kent American Inn of Court throughout law school and now serves on the Executive Committee. Andrew M. Coffarelli
Andrew Coffarelli is an Associate with Williams DeLoatche, P.C. and relocated back to Virginia Beach after completing a clerkship with the Court of Appeals of Virginia and serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Southside Virginia. Originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Andrew fell in love with the Southern pine, ocean air, and sandy beaches of Hampton Roads after training here with the Navy for a number of years and attending law school. Andrew spent nearly 12 years with the Navy Reserve as a Master-at-Arms (Military Police) including 3 tours overseas. He received his undergraduate degree in Law & Policy from Liberty University in 2019 and his law degree from Regent University School of Law in 2022. Andrew’s trial experience as a prosecutor, commitment to serve, and passion to fight for his clients has equipped him to achieve the best outcome for your case. During law school, Andrew gained litigation experience in the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake Commonwealth’s Attorney’s offices. He gained additional experience at the Portsmouth General District Court, public interest firms, and a private practice. Andrew was selected to be in a class taught by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. He served as a law chaplain and participated as a student member in the James Kent American Inn of Court which he plans on rejoining as a practicing attorney after the birth of his second daughter.
