Rick Sand
Rick Sand is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a licensed attorney in the states of North Dakota, Minnesota, Arizona as well numerous Federal Jurisdictions. During law school Mr. Sand interned for the Alaska Department of Administration’s Office of Public Advocacy. William Sand
Bill Sand attended college at Hamline University, where he served as captain of the men’s baseball team. During law school, Mr. Sand received a concentration in Criminal Litigation and was awarded the Honorable Louis M. Welsh Endowed Scholarship. This award is given to the student who best “exemplifies the highest ethical standards and believes in the humanity of the law” and who demonstrates a “passionate desire to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a trial lawyer.” While in law school, Bill spent time with a civil litigation firm, monitored and reported on various state agencies, and worked at a law library where he conducted legal research for attorneys and professors. His legal journey brought him to Alaska, where he successfully represented numerous indigent clients facing criminal charges. He later entered the field of Special Education Law and has since helped obtain hundreds of thousands of dollars in services for parents to meet the educational needs of their disabled children. Most recently, Bill has handled a large number of Criminal Defense and Personal Injury cases for his clients. He has experienced uncommon success, with an abnormally high success rate at all stages of litigation-from jury verdicts to judicial rulings in favor of his clients. Outside of the law, Bill enjoys playing music, hiking, and spending time with family. He is involved with the Special Olympics, has volunteered at care centers for the elderly, and founded several youth baseball camps.
