Terrence D. Hunter is a native of Natchez, Mississippi, and the owner and founder of The Hunter Law Firm, PLLC. He graduated from Tougaloo College with a B.A. in English in May 2017 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in May 2020. While in law school, he was an active member of several organizations and worked as a student advocate in the Roderick and Solange MacArthur Justice Center. He also interned for the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund. Upon graduation, he completed a one-year fellowship at the University of Mississippi, addressing legal and policy issues in the Mississippi Delta region. He passed the Mississippi and Tennessee bar exams in 2021 and began his legal career with a notable personal injury firm, where he successfully negotiated settlements and was part of a winning trial team.
