Vince Bruner, an experienced personal injury attorney, was born in Dothan, Alabama, in 1957. He is a lifelong resident of Okaloosa County. His mother and father, Peggy and Max Bruner, taught school in the Okaloosa County school district for more than 25 years. Max Bruner was a school superintendent in Okaloosa County from 1964 to 1984. Vince Bruner graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 1975, Florida State University in 1979, and the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1984. He was active in athletics and academics in high school and college, where he received a scholarship for football at the University of Kentucky and later finished playing for Bobby Bowden at Florida State University. Vince worked as an intern at the State Attorney’s office while attending Cumberland and worked full-time as an assistant state attorney at the start of his career. He entered the private practice of law in Fort Walton Beach as an associate with Smith, Grimsley, Remington & Kessler. In 1987, he was named city attorney for the City of Fort Walton Beach, and in 1988, he was named city attorney in the City of Valparaiso. He served as city attorney for the City of Fort Walton Beach for approximately two years and in Valparaiso for five years. In 1988, he was elected to the Florida Senate, serving one four-year term in Senate District 3. His 9-county Senate district was one of the largest geographical districts in Florida, including nine counties: Bay, Okaloosa, Walton, Gulf, Washington, Calhoun, Franklin, Liberty, and Wakulla counties. He was chairman of the Senate Committee on Corrections and was voted by his peers as “Most Promising Freshman.” After just one term, he returned to full-time private law practice. As a member of the Joint Select Committee of Senate and House members, which determined claims bills presented against the State of Florida or any of its political subdivisions, Vince developed a special interest in serious accidental injury cases. Since 1984, he has devoted his practice solely to work as a Plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer, dedicated to assisting people injured in accidents throughout the Florida panhandle. His education and experience in law and government and his familiarity with the places and people in the Florida panhandle have assisted him in effectively representing people injured by the careless acts of others. He has maintained Personal injury attorney offices in Fort Walton Beach and Panama City since his Senate career. He remains dedicated to helping and assisting victims of accidental injuries and the neglect of others.

Drew Gordy Bruner
Drew was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where he attended Choctawhatchee High School. He is the son of Vince Bruner of Fort Walton and Laurie Bruner of Crestview. Upon graduating, he enrolled at Auburn University, where he obtained a degree in political science in preparation for law school at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. During law school, Drew worked as a licensed legal intern at the Cleveland County District Attorney’s Office where he gained valuable courtroom experience in criminal proceedings. Drew became a member of the Florida Bar in November 2012, the Alabama Bar in April 2014, and the Georgia State Bar in 2018. Drew is also licensed to practice in all Federal Courts in the State of Florida, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Drew is an Eagle Member of the Florida Justice Association and the Alabama Association for Justice and was recently admitted as a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, which is limited to 1% of lawyers licensed in each jurisdiction. Drew is also AV-Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the benchmark in ethical standing for an attorney, and was named a “Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters. In his free time, Drew enjoys running, cycling, reading, music, and the outdoors. Drew is married to Anna Morelock Bruner of Abbeville, Alabama; they have two children together.
Joe Lancos
Joe is a native Floridian, born in Lighthouse Point, Florida. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Following his first year of law school, Joe interned for the Honorable James Lawrence King of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. While in law school, Joe served as Managing Editor for the Florida Law Review, Associate Justice of the University of Florida Supreme Court, and Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy. Joe was also an active member of Florida Blue Key, serving as Chairman of the organization’s Judiciary Committee. Before attending law school, Joe earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida with a major in Telecommunication - News. Prior to joining The Bruner Law Firm, Joe was a litigation attorney at a Fort Lauderdale-based firm where he practiced complex commercial litigation and employment law. At his prior firm, Joe represented plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving business torts, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, restrictive covenants, and employment discrimination. On the topic of employment discrimination, Joe published an article on the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark 2020 ruling with regard to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 entitled “The Supreme Court Speaks: What Employers Need to Know Moving Forward.” Outside the office, Joe enjoys basketball, cycling, and rooting for his beloved Florida Gators. Joe is excited to call the Florida Panhandle his new home, and feels privileged to represent the injured in their struggle for justice against insurance companies and large corporations.
Peggy Bruner
Peggy was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and is the daughter of Vincent Bruner and Laurie Bruner. Like her older brothers Vince and Drew, she attended and graduated from Choctawhatchee High School. After high school, Peggy enrolled at Auburn University in the fall of 2011. During her time at Auburn, she double majored in Political Science and Spanish while also participating in many extracurriculars such as the Pi Sigma Lambda Honors Society and the Pre-Law Scholars Program. Peggy graduated from Auburn in May 2015, and the following August enrolled in the University of Florida’s Fredric G. Levin College of Law. Her passion for trial law began when she interned as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Stone in Florida’s First Judicial Circuit, where she observed both civil and criminal trials. In the summer of 2017, she interned for the United State’s Attorney’s Office in Tampa, Florida, researching issues in pending cases and observing Federal criminal trials. During her last year of law school, Peggy worked as a Certified Legal Intern for the Gainesville State Attorney’s Office in the Domestic Violence Unit and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office in the Juvenile Division, gaining supervised trial experience. In the spring of 2018, Peggy’s note, A Case Against Bad Math, was published in the Journal of Technology Law & Policy, where she also served as an editor. Shortly after, she graduated from law school and joined the Florida Bar. Before joining the Bruner Firm in July 2020, she served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. Peggy brings with her several years of trial experience, working on cases involving DUIs, traffic crashes, probation violations, juvenile delinquency matters, 3rd- and 2nd-degree felony cases, and more. In her spare time, Peggy enjoys traveling, running, cycling, and watching SEC football with her friends. She is also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Walton Beach. Peggy is honored to have the opportunity to represent the great people of the Florida Panhandle alongside her family.
Vincent Bruner Jr.
Vincent works as an attorney alongside his father (Vince Bruner Sr.), brother (Drew Bruner), Sister (Peggy Bruner Lancos), and brother-in-law (Joe Lancos). Born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida he attended Choctawhatchee High School, graduating in 2006. After high school he attended Auburn University majoring in hospitality management with a minor in business, where he graduated in 2010. Upon graduation Vincent decided to pursue law and attended the University of Tulsa College of Law. During law school Vincent interned at the State Attorney’s Office in the 1st Judicial Circuit of Florida, where he gained experience in the courtroom with criminal proceedings. Vincent became a member of the Florida Bar in April of 2014. Vincent enjoys traveling, tennis, cycling, swimming, fishing, and cheering on the Auburn Tigers. Vincent is married to Alexa Guarachi Bruner of Miramar Beach, Florida. Alexa plays professional tennis in the WTA for Chile. They own a golden retriever named “Bee.” In his spare time, Vincent works as a local entrepreneur running an e-commerce business. Vincent is also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Walton Beach.
