Timothy J. Hixson

Tim is a graduate of Butler University. He continued his education at the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, where he was an Associate Editor of the Indiana Health Law Review. Tim joined Richards, Boje, Pickering, Benner & Becker in 2005 as a law clerk and began full-time as an attorney upon his admission to the Indiana Bar in 2006. Tim focuses his practice primarily in the areas of criminal defense and juvenile delinquency matters, including DUI/OWI defense, felony and misdemeanor offenses, suppression hearings, and property offenses. He also serves as a public defender for juveniles and adults through contracts with Hamilton County courts. In addition, he practices in personal injury, family law, estate planning, and other civil matters.

James F. Ludlow

With over 30 years of experience, he has tried over 100 trials (bench and jury) and has a state-wide reputation for fierceness in the courtroom, mixed with good humor. Ary Avnet

Ary Avnet was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1979, but decided to make Indiana his home after he began attending Indiana University - Bloomington as an undergraduate in 1997. After graduating from law school with honors, Mr. Avnet began practicing insurance defense litigation in Hamilton County for several years. Next, Mr. Avnet practiced transportation law at the largest transportation law firm in the country, defending trucking companies in large loss negligence and wrongful death suits around the country. Prior to forming Avnet Law, Mr. Avnet returned to Hamilton County to practice personal injury law, family law, and criminal law. Currently, Mr. Avnet regularly practices trial court litigation in state and federal courts. His practice is devoted to serving clients on a wide variety of legal issues, but concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, family law, criminal defense, business litigation, and appellate work. Mr. Avnet understands that for many clients, their case is their first interaction with the law and the Indiana Courts. Therefore, they are understandably anxious about their case or appearing in Court. Carl A. Markovich

Carl joined Richards, Boje, Pickering, Benner & Becker now Boje, Benner, Becker, Markovich & Hixson, LLP in 1997 as a law clerk. Carl was hired as an associate attorney with the firm following his admission to the Indiana Bar in 1999 and became partner in 2003. Carl’s primary practice focuses in the areas of family law, criminal defense and juvenile delinquency matters. Carl has extensive experience in litigating high conflict family law matters as well as defending felony and misdemeanor criminal matters including OWI/DUI, controlled substance offenses, theft and battery. In addition to his work in family law, criminal defense, and juvenile defense, Carl also practices in the areas of personal injury, estate planning and general civil litigation.

Eric J. Benner

Eric has over 30 years experience in all areas of family law and alternative dispute resolution, including contested custody matters, large asset value divorce matters, paternity matters, as well as adoptions, guardianships and estates. Eric is a registered and certified family law mediator. Eric also has extensive experience in felony and misdemeanor criminal matters, including DUI/OWI, sex offenses, major felonies, and white collar crime. Eric has achieved great success in handling personal injury matters and has represented hundreds of clients against those who have caused them injury, whether through negligence, greed, or malice.

Joe Duepner

Joe Duepner spent his early childhood in St. Louis, MO before moving to Hamilton County, Indiana in 1993. He currently resides in Westfield, Indiana with this wife and two children. Prior to opening Duepner Law LLC, Joe also worked briefly at the Indiana Securities Commission under Commissioner Chris Naylor, assisting in the investigation, research and litigation of securities fraud issues including the case of State Of Indiana vs. CFS LLC, CFS Trust Inc, CFS at Crosspoint LLC et al. Joe opened Duepner Law in 2013 and for the past decade has tirelessly advocated on behalf of thousands of clients. Joe has successfully obtained favorable settlement awards in numerous injuries claims bringing much need compensation to his injured clients. Joe also has invaluable experience as a litigator handling various types of cases in front of juries and judges across Indiana, including capital murder cases and high level felonies.
