Anita Dhar Miller

Anita Dhar Miller is a partner in the litigation division of Grefe Sidney. Her practice includes general civil litigation, insurance defense matters, including automobile personal injury, construction claims, gross negligence, slip and fall, discrimination, sexual harassment, and workers’ compensation. She clerked for the Honorable Judge Pratt in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. She was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2013 and 2014.

Clark I. Mitchell

Clark Mitchell is a member in the firm’s Litigation Division with extensive trial experience in insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, and construction claims. He has personal experience in the construction industry. He is a past recipient of the Iowa State Bar Association Pro Bono Award.

Andrew D. Hall

Andrew D. Hall is the managing member of the Grefe Sidney Litigation Division. He has practiced with Grefe & Sidney since 1990 and in that time has developed extensive experience in insurance defense matters, including automobile personal injury, construction claims, premises liability, and workers’ compensation. He represents clients in state and federal district court, appeals courts, and before the Iowa Workers’ Compensation Commission.

Mark W. Thomas

Mark Thomas is a member in the firm’s Litigation Division where he has been trying cases since 1986. His practice areas include insurance defense, products liability and bad faith defense. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Attorneys, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Iowa National Guard 132nd Fighter Wing, where he served as the Staff Judge Advocate.

Ben Erickson

Ben Erickson is a partner and trial attorney in the firm’s litigation division. He has experience handling all aspects of litigation in both federal and state courts, including matters involving class actions, products liability, bad faith, personal injury, coverage issues, and commercial disputes. He has first chaired 8 trials to verdict in the last 5 years and has extensive appellate experience. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Guy R. Cook

Guy Cook is a senior member in the firm’s litigation division. For more than 35 years he has been one of the leading trial attorneys in the state of Iowa. He has served as counsel in more than 1000 litigated matters and has tried more than 200 jury trials. He is double-board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is a past-president of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Polk County Bar Association.

Patrick J. McNulty

Patrick McNulty is a retired partner of the firm’s litigation division. He worked at Grefe & Sidney PLC from 1981 to 2021, with over 35 years of experience in civil trial law and workers’ compensation. He is a Fellow of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers and AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.
