Ken DeMoura

Ken DeMoura is a founding partner and accomplished trial attorney and counselor. He has appeared before all state and federal courts in Massachusetts since 1986, handling commercial disputes, product liability, employment, intellectual property, personal injury, partnership, banking, construction, professional liability, criminal, and bankruptcy cases. He has successfully tried dozens of cases to verdict, handled over 50 arbitration matters, and obtained multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements. Ken is also a certified mediator and commercial arbitrator, a frequent lecturer, and often serves as trial counsel for other litigators. John J. Sheehan

John Sheehan was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. The son of an Irish immigrant from County Kerry, Ireland and raised in a working-class family, Attorney Sheehan has a deep appreciation, pride and respect for the American Dream. Attorney Sheehan is fluent in Spanish and is privileged to represent many clients from the Latin American community in the Greater Boston area. Bob Smith

Bob Smith is a founding partner of DeMoura|Smith LLP, a highly experienced trial lawyer, and trusted advisor. He specializes in civil litigation, conducting trials and arguing appeals in state and federal courts for business disputes, commercial matters, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, employment discrimination, disability discrimination, wrongful death, sexual abuse, and catastrophic personal injuries. He is a leading higher-education attorney. Bob also conducts independent investigations for institutions, including Title IX, sexual harassment, and other misconduct. He is a certified mediator and an adjunct professor at Stonehill College, teaching undergraduate business law. Prior to founding DeMoura|Smith LLP, he was a partner in two multi-state law firms and served as Associate General Counsel and Chief of Staff to the President at Boston University.

Gianpiere J. Alcantara

Gianpiere J. Alcantara is an Associate Attorney at the Law Office of John J. Sheehan, LLC. Gianpiere is fluent in Spanish - both verbal and written. Gianpiere is a graduate from New England Law in Boston and is a licensed attorney in Massachusetts. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts (Boston) in Criminology, Sociology, Philosophy and Law. Gianpiere has over 10 years of experience working as a personal injury legal assistant and law clerk before graduating from law school. He is a team player who is friendly, personable and strives to provide the best customer service experience to our clients.

James Moynihan

James Moynihan is a partner and trial lawyer with over 15 years of experience representing individuals, companies, and fiduciaries in probate administration and litigation, commercial disputes, and real estate cases. He leads the firm's Probate Litigation and Administration team, adept at diffusing disputes and finding solutions. Before becoming an attorney, Jim was a self-employed carpenter and holds an international patent for a yard waste holding product. He was recognized by Massachusetts Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star in 2018 for Estate and Trust Litigation. Jim is admitted to practice in all Massachusetts state courts. He graduated from Northeastern University School of Law and received his bachelor’s degree in English from Colgate University. He is a past director and chair of the business education committee of the Beverly Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Boston Bar Association and ProVisors.

Francisca D. Morant

Francisca D. Morant is an advocate and counselor with over 30 years of experience, serving as of-counsel at DeMoura|Smith LLP. She represents clients in complex commercial issues, professional liability, products liability, banking, contract, insurance, environmental, real estate, and employment law. She has appeared in Massachusetts state and federal courts, handling all aspects of civil litigation. Her experience includes litigation at Nutter McLennen & Fish LLP and Choate Hall & Stewart LLP, and serving as Associate General Counsel at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. She also worked as a guardian ad litem for the Juvenile Court. A graduate of New York University School of Law and Harvard University, Francisca is fluent in three languages, including Spanish.

Sharna Dolan Favuzza

Sharna Dolan Favuzza is a partner and head of the Estate and Trust Planning Practice. She focuses on estate planning, asset protection, business succession planning, long-term care, and Medicaid planning. She also provides probate, real estate, litigation, and employment law advice, advocating for clients in Massachusetts courts, especially the Probate Court, for estate, guardianship, trust, real estate, and conservatorship litigation. She collaborates with financial, insurance, and tax advisors. Sharna is actively involved in her community, a founding member of the Women’s Business League and on its Advisory Board, and active in the Reading-North Reading and Wakefield Chambers of Commerce. She is a 2008 graduate of New England School of Law and a member of Wealth Counsel and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).
