David R. Spears

David R. Spears, known as Dave, is a seasoned attorney born and raised in Ironton, Ohio. A former collegiate football player and U.S. Army veteran, Dave earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and has been practicing law since 1978. His current focus is mainly on estate planning, but he has decades of experience in workers’ compensation, social security, and personal injury claims. Dave has litigation experience including trial and appellate work, handling cases in the Court of Common Pleas, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Ohio. Angela D. Marinakis, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, has been a dedicated member of the legal community since 1993. Angela graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Cincinnati and a J.D. from the University of Toledo Law School. She has a rich background in both public and private sectors. Angela focuses on workers' compensation and personal injury law. As a former Assistant Attorney General, she gained litigation experience in workers' compensation law, including trial and appellate work, handling cases in the Court of Common Pleas, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Ohio. With this extensive experience in both administrative claims and court cases, she has a proven track record of successfully advocating for injured workers across Ohio.

Nolan P. McNamee

Nolan P. McNamee was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2024. He concentrates his practice in real property, commercial/business, municipal probate/estate planning, and personal injury law.

D. Matthew Spears, commonly known as Matt, hails from Ironton, Ohio. He completed his undergraduate studies at Miami University, majoring in German and Business, and earned his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School. He joined the family firm in 2010. Matt's legal practice focuses on workers' compensation and personal injury law, handling many workers’ compensation hearings weekly. He is licensed to practice in Ohio.

Cynthia P. McNamee concentrates her legal practice in commercial and residential real estate, zoning, commercial transactions, corporate law, municipal law, and commercial litigation. She has extensive experience in negotiating and structuring large scale commercial transactions and broad experience in public sector law. She also has extensive litigation experience in municipal and real estate/title law.

Marie Hoover

Marie Hoover has been practicing law since 1994. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Miami University. She is admitted to practice in Ohio, Kentucky, the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Ohio and the Eastern District of Kentucky. Her public service includes serving on the Fourth District Court of Appeals of Ohio and as a municipal court magistrate. She is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a member of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association.
