About Amelia
Amelia Ortiz is an associate at The Barnes Law Group, LLC. For the last few years, Amelia has worked as a trial attorney at a national civil defense firm, defending individuals and insurance companies in personal injury cases. Now, Amelia looks forward to using her knowledge of defense tactics to help injured individuals and their families obtain justice in their civil cases. Amelia earned both her undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Georgia, making her a proud “Double Dawg.” Before law school, Amelia was an elementary school teacher in Title I public schools in Atlanta and Washington, D.C. This experience allowed Amelia to fine-tune her ability to connect with others and reinforced her desire to serve the most vulnerable parts of her community.
