About Austin
Austin earned his Juris Doctorate at Southern University Law Center with Cum Laude honors after completing a Bachelor of Science in business administration at Northwestern State University. Austin was introduced to the profession as a law student in an externship program working for the Honorable Jeff Thompson at the Louisiana Court of Appeal, second circuit in Shreveport. He then clerked for the Honorable Jewel E. Welch with the Louisiana Court of Appeals, First Circuit in Baton Rouge. Before these appointments, Austin clerked at the Red River Parish Courthouse 39th Judicial in Coushatta, Louisiana. Austin has always wanted to be a lawyer, inspired by family already practicing. Because of this background, Austin has seen how the law can be a powerful tool to help people facing impossible situations.
