About Bell
Bell Island is an attorney who graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law and has practiced in Scotts Bluff County since 1994. He opened his own practice in 1999. He specializes in Criminal Law, DUI, Divorce and Family law, and Probate matters. Bell Island is the only attorney in Nebraska who is a board-certified specialist in DUI Defense by the National College for DUI Defense, where he also serves as a Regent. He is a past president of the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association and a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Nebraska State Bar, Scotts Bluff County Bar, and the Federal District Court of Nebraska. He frequently lectures on criminal law, trial practice, and DUI Defense, and co-authored the book 'Nebraska DUI Defense: The Law and Practice'. He holds a B.A. in History and Soviet Studies from Hamline University.
