About Brendan
Brendan is our newest Associate in the firm. In seventh grade he was awarded the Take Stock in Children scholarship, a “full ride” to a four-year Florida college. Take Stock in Children was founded in the early 1990s to combat the persistent dropout rate that plagued Tampa’s public schools. Created by a local education foundation with both public and private funding, it provides scholarships, mentors and comprehensive services for high-potential, low-income students from middle school through high school, and transition to college and careers. Through Take Stock, Brendan was able to attend Saint Leo University, graduating with a 3.84 g.p.a. in 3 years. His interest in civics and government studies led him to choose a career in law, and that led him to enroll in Barry University School of Law in Orlando, graduating in the top 10% of his class. While studying law at Barry he was a member of the Law Review, and also served as a research assistant for two professors. One summer he interned with Judge Stanley Mills, an esteemed jurist. Based on his experience with Take Stock and as a legal intern, Brendan wants to give back to the community in any way possible, including becoming a volunteer Take Stock mentor. He has an abiding desire to help people, and he says his disadvantaged upbringing leads him to be even more compassionate to others. He is a fine addition in the Personal Injury practice at our firm.
