Bruce Berger began his law practice in Charleston, West Virginia, in 1980, initially defending doctors, hospitals, and insurance companies. In 1995, he shifted to representing individuals injured by negligence, focusing on medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, motor vehicle crashes, and state/federal tort claims. He also handles insurance bad faith litigation. With over 30 years of experience, he has tried cases in state and federal courts across West Virginia and North Carolina, and represented clients in Virginia and Tennessee. He has argued appellate matters in North Carolina and West Virginia Supreme Courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
