Carolyn 'Cammie' M. Nichols began her legal career as a 'street lawyer,' representing clients in felony cases and later developing a civil rights practice. She graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1990 and Yale Law School in 1993. Her practice now focuses on civil rights litigation, representing victims of abuse of power and families of individuals injured or killed by law enforcement. She was recognized as 'Warrior of the Year' by Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyer's College in 2003 and 'Cooperating Attorney of the Year' by the ACLU of New Mexico in 2010.
