Attorney Carter J. Adams is a 7th-generation Floridian and Winter Haven native. He graduated from Lake Region High School and Stetson University with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2008. He earned his Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in December 2013 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2014. His legal career includes experience as an associate attorney representing financial institutions, an Assistant State Attorney for the 10th Judicial Circuit, and a Civil Litigation and Personal Injury Attorney at Mood Law. Mr. Adams is a member of the Florida Bar Association, American Bar Association, Lakeland Bar Association, Florida Justice Association, and Polk County Trial Lawyers Association. He serves as Commissioner and Chairman for The Lake Region Lakes Management District and is President of Habitat For Humanity of East Polk County. He has been recognized as a 2025 Elite Lawyer and a Top 100 Trial Lawyer.
