Charles J. Sticklen, Jr. was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved with his family to Miami, FL, when he was a child. He attended the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1988. After graduating from the University of Florida, he returned to Missouri to attend the School of Law at the University of Missouri. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Mizzou Law in 1991, and then moved to Joplin to begin his career as an associate attorney at a local law firm. In 1997, Charlie opened his own law firm in Joplin.
