Darren was born in London, England and lived there for 10 years before moving to the United States. The son of Jamaican immigrants, who worked hard to put themselves through college, he was brought to America as his parents pursued the American Dream. He attended Texas A&M University for his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, then earned his MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and his Juris Doctor Degree from Texas Southern University.
