David S. Byrd was born and raised in Jefferson County, Tennessee, where he remained and attended Carson Newman College and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. After obtaining his law degree from the University Of Tennessee's College Of Law in 1994, he started practicing law in Morristown at Capps & Byrd LLP, being named a partner in 1999.
