About Derek

Derek Richardson graduated from Villanova University in 2001 and from the Seton Hall University School of Law in May of 2005. He began his legal career as an intern for the Honorable Frank A. Buczynski, Jr., J.S.C., Presiding Judge of the Superior Court, Civil Part, Ocean County. After he graduated from law school, he was blessed with the opportunity to serve as the law clerk for the Honorable James P. Courtney, Jr., of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Ocean County. He joined this firm as an associate in September 2006 and became a partner in the firm on Jan. 1, 2013. He practices in the fields of workers' compensation, personal injury and criminal law, with most of his time spent on workers' compensation. He has been fortunate to help hundreds of clients injured at work and elsewhere. He was named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, 2013-2014.
