About Emerald

Emerald Lucas, a first-generation college and law student from Southern California, earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from California State University Northridge. She then attended Howard University School of Law, focusing on technology and law. She served as a Vernon E. Jordan Jr. Fellow, interned at the Department of Commerce, and was an ACLU of Nevada First Amendment Fellow. After graduating in 2024, she clerked for Judge Joseph Hardy Jr. at the Eighth Judicial District Court before joining Bighorn Law, driven by her belief in helping people achieve justice.
