Esteban Sandoval is a first-generation Mexican American who grew up in El Paso, Texas. Esteban’s parents were both born in Mexico, but ultimately wanted a better life for their three children and moved from Ciudad Juárez, Mexico to El Paso, Texas when Esteban was three years old. Although, Spanish was the language of the household, Esteban learned English by attending public school in Texas.
