About Ian

Ian F. Hipwell worked for the Manasseh law firm since May 2011, after retiring from the United States Department of Justice in 2010, where he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for over 31 years. He transitioned to defending federal criminal cases. Prior to the Department of Justice, Hipwell was a Judge Advocate General officer in the United States Air Force. He is a 1973 graduate of Tulane Law School and is admitted to practice law before all three federal courts in Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Court of Military Appeals, and the Louisiana Supreme Court.
